One Book, One Community: Author Visit with Jacqueline Woodson
One Book, One Community, a partnership with Cook Memorial Public Library, Indian Trails Public Library, and Vernon Area Public Library, invites readers to hear from an exciting literacy voice.

Hear from Jacqueline Woodson, one of our country’s most acclaimed authors, a National Book Award winner, and 2020 MacArthur Foundation fellow. Woodson shares her inspiration for this year's One Book selection, "Red at the Bone," an exquisitely wrought tale of the intertwining lives of two Black families in modern-day Brooklyn. The bestselling novel explores family histories shaped by race and the decisions we make, often under duress or before we can fully understand their consequences.
